Start Your RISE Journey

Rooted • Intentional • Strong • Energized

RISE is not a diet plan or a religious program. It is a lifestyle of restoration supported by community, compassion, and truth.

The RISE Wellness Community is a whole-person recovery and wellness community built around the belief that lasting health grows from alignment. This occurs when the body, mind, and inner life begin working together. They must work together rather than against each other.

RISE stands for Rooted, Intentional, Strong, and Energized. These are four pillars that guide our conversations and practices as we pursue sustainable well-being.

Within this community, we explore wellness from a holistic perspective. Rather than focusing only on weight or appearance, we look deeper at the patterns, habits, beliefs, and rhythms that shape our daily lives.

Together we focus on:

• nourishing the body through whole-food, plant-based eating
• cultivating movement that supports strength and vitality
• honoring the importance of rest and recovery
• exploring the mental and emotional roots of our relationship with food, health, and self-image
• building supportive habits that create long-term balance rather than short-term restriction

While participants come from many different backgrounds, RISE approaches wellness through a lens of shalom. Shalom is a Hebrew word that expresses wholeness, peace, and harmony in every area of life. Therefore, this perspective encourages us to pursue health not through pressure or perfection, but through thoughtful care for the bodies and lives we have been given.

What We Do in the RISE Wellness Community

Each week we gather for conversation, reflection, and learning in a supportive group environment.

Our meetings are not lectures or rigid programs. Instead, they are guided discussions where we explore topics related to whole-being wellness. We share experiences that help us grow together.

Some of the themes we regularly discuss include:

• developing sustainable eating habits
• understanding the psychology behind food choices and cravings
• creating rhythms of movement and rest that support the body
• emotional health and self-awareness
• breaking cycles of shame, perfectionism, and self-criticism
• cultivating gratitude, presence, and personal responsibility
• learning to care for the body as a gift rather than a problem to fix

The goal is not perfection. The goal is momentum—small, consistent steps toward a more balanced and peaceful way of living.

Following the RISE Journey

The conversations, weekly reflections, and guided questions shared through the RISE Wellness Community are inspired by the RISE book series. These books explore identity, wellness, emotional healing, sustainable habits, and whole-person recovery in greater depth.

Subscribers receive selected material and questions derived from the books. This allows everyone to engage with many of the central ideas even if they do not own the books themselves.

Some participants enjoy reading along with the complete books and journals. Others use the weekly materials, join the conversations, and apply the ideas in their own way. Both approaches are welcome. Purchasing a book is not required to participate.

Subscribers also receive access to the First Chapters Library. This where they can read the first chapter or a curated sample from almost every Healthy in Heart book.

Meet Your Facilitator

The RISE Wellness Community is led and facilitated by Angel Tate Keaton. Angel is a whole-person recovery educator, author, and founder of Healthy in Heart Media.

Angel’s work is shaped by her own journey of recovery and healing, years of education, independent research, and experiences. These all culminate in the creation of books, journals, and educational resources that address wellness in body, mind, and spirit. She is the author and creator of the RISE book and journal series from which the community’s weekly reflections and guided questions are drawn.

Each week, Angel selects the topic, prepares the educational material, and offers thoughtful questions that encourage participants to examine patterns. They also explore what they are experiencing and consider their next meaningful step. Her role is not to diagnose, prescribe treatment, or provide therapy. She facilitates reflection, learning, honest conversation, and mutual encouragement within the community.

Who This Community Is For

The RISE Wellness Community is designed for people who are seeking a thoughtful and compassionate approach to health and personal growth.

You may find this community especially meaningful if you…

• Want to improve your health through sustainable lifestyle changes rather than restrictive diets.
• Are interested in whole-food, plant-based eating and learning how it supports long-term wellness.
• Are working to understand the deeper habits, beliefs, and emotional patterns that influence your relationship with food and self-care.
• Value supportive conversation and shared learning rather than judgment or pressure.
• Are seeking a balanced approach to movement, rest, and emotional well-being
• Want to cultivate a sense of peace, purpose, and wholeness in daily life.

Many people who join the RISE Wellness Community are navigating their own journey toward better health. This may mean rebuilding habits, restoring balance after years of dieting, or changing self-talk. It may also mean simply learning how to care for themselves more intentionally.

Wherever you are in that process, you are welcome here.
