What is the Book Insiders Club?
A group of readers who help shape Healthy in Heart books and resources before they’re released through beta reading, recipe testing, wellness program testing, ARC reviews, and launch support.
What each role does
- Beta Tester — reads a project before it’s finalized and gives feedback to improve it.
- ARC Reader — receives an advance copy before publication and leaves an honest review after release (positive or critical — we value honestly and authenticity) on the platform(s) selected in their application.
- Launch Team — helps spread the word on release day (sharing, posting, engaging).
- Recipe Tester — tries a recipe and reports back on taste, clarity, and results.
- Wellness Program Tester — works through a program (like RISE & REPAIR or a fasting plan) and shares real feedback.
How it works
- You apply and tell us what you’re interested in.
- When a matching project comes up, we’ll invite you — you’re never auto-enrolled. Being a member doesn’t guarantee participation in every project. Invitations are based on the type of project, your interests, and the number of reviewers needed.
- Project invitations are sent by email (and occasionally through our Book Insider communication group).
- You’re always free to decline an invitation. We understand that life is busy.
- If you accept, we’ll send the materials along with a deadline for completing the project.
- You complete the project and send feedback or a review by that deadline.
- We invite you to the next project that fits.
What to know
- Books and materials are provided as a thank-you for participating. They aren’t payment or compensation.
- We value honest feedback — even if something didn’t work for you. Thoughtful suggestions help create stronger books and resources.
- Unpublished materials are confidential and shouldn’t be shared or posted publicly unless we’ve given permission.
- Each project comes with a deadline, given at the time of invitation. If you accept, we ask that you complete it by that date.
- If you accept a project and can’t finish it by the deadline, just let us know. Life happens.
- Members who repeatedly accept projects without following through or communicating may not be invited to future opportunities.
- If you received a book or resource for free in exchange for a review, please disclose that in your review (for example: “I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review”). This keeps us compliant with Amazon and FTC guidelines and protects your review from being removed.
- Reviews can only be posted once a project is officially live — Amazon and other retailers won’t accept a review before then. Once release day arrives, we’ll let you know it’s time to post.
