Each month, I choose one subscriber to receive a subscriber appreciation gift as a thank you for being part of this community.
How Eligibility is Determined
Staying subscribed to my newsletter and opening and clicking through those emails keeps you eligible. Leaving a comment on an article does not affect your eligibility, but I always love hearing from you, so feel free to drop one anytime! Winners are chosen at random from everyone who has stayed active over the past 30 days.
How Winners Are Chosen Fairly
I pull a list of everyone who has been active during the past 30 days using Segment, which is a function of my email system. I then download the CSV file, assign each name a random number in a spreadsheet, and sort from smallest to largest. The name at the top becomes the winner, and a backup name is drawn the same way in case the winner does not respond. I save this Excel document just in case the first winner does not respond in time, so I can let it go to the next person in line.
Deadline to Respond
Winners are announced in the first newsletter of the month and receive a separate email as well. You will have 7 days to respond and claim your prize. If I do not hear back in that time, a new winner is drawn using the same process, the very next name on the list.

Who’s Eligible
Every subscriber who has been active in the past 30 days in the Healthy in Heart Friday Newsletter is automatically entered. There are no entry form. No hoops. No extra steps. If you are on the list and you are reading, you are already in.
