I used to get migraines years ago. They would take me down for days, sometimes weeks at a time. I would have light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, and touch sensitivity. Once it was so bad it felt like I was being skinned alive whenever anything touched my skin. That was the worst I’d ever had.
I discovered that cayenne is a vasodilator, meaning it causes the veins to dilate or enlarge allowing blood to flow through the veins easier. It can also relax muscles. I created this recipe specifically for my migraines. It would take care of the migraines in just a few minutes. Sometimes taking it a second time was necessary for the worst migraines. Of course, this is still an improvement to the prescription drugs I had been on, but without the unpleasant and unwanted side effects.
With much thankfulness to my Abba Father, I have not had a migraine in several years, since shortly after changing our diet to whole food plant based, to be specific. Praise YAH! I do still get headaches and other aches and pains, I will also once every six months or so feel the beginning of a migraine, and I will take this Cayenne Cocktail and it will kill the migraine in its tracks. The wonderful thing that we have found is that this Cayenne Cocktail helps with other types of pain as well. We have found this recipe to help with muscle and joint pain for myself and my husband. It also works on phlebitis and other inflammations in the body. Cayenne is just a powerhouse!
Cayenne Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Pinch Celtic Sea Salt Optional
- 2 Tbsp Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother
- 1 Tsp Organic Cayenne Pepper Powder
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients.Stir blend well.Chug this drink as fast as you can.Pound the counter for about a minute.
- Stir to blend well.
- Chug this drink as fast as you can.
- Pounding the counter for about 30 seconds is optional.

While I wouldn’t put any alcohol in this Cayenne Cocktail, I can attest that it works to relieve mine and my family’s myriad aches and pains.
Is this something you take daily to prevent migraines or just when you get a migraine?
I have never taken it as a preventative measure but I wish I had thought of that! Migraines are the worst pain! If you try it and it works, please come back and share! I have used it as a preventative to lower blood pressure caused by a situational heavy stress load, so it is possible.
