In the Bible, Yeshua often asked people a simple but powerful question: “Do you want to get well?” One well-known example is in John 5:6. He met a man who had been sick for 38 years. Instead of immediately healing him, Yeshua asked, “Do you want to get well?” Once the man was healed, Yeshua told him to go and sin no more. This response by Yeshua highlighted the importance of healing through consistent change. It forced the man to confront his condition and his desire for change.
Many people today struggle with chronic illness, poor health, or low energy. Yet, they sometimes accept these struggles as part of who they are. Their condition becomes their identity. They say, “I have arthritis,” “I am diabetic,” or “I always get sick.” Instead of seeing health struggles as something to overcome, they embrace them as part of their existence.
But what if the first step to healing is recognizing the need for change? What if, like the man Yeshua spoke to, we must answer that question for ourselves? “Do I want to get well?” If we truly want to get well, we must do things differently. Healing through consistent change is possible. Identifying what isn’t working, making small adjustments, and embracing transformative habits can help us break free from unhealthy cycles.

The first step to change is recognizing what’s not working. Many people feel stuck in their health struggles. They blame genetics, age, or circumstances. However, the real problem often lies in daily habits. Do you want to get well?” What could be causing this?
Many health problems stem from diet, lack of movement, stress, or poor sleep. If we continue in the same patterns, our health will not improve. Healing through consistent change begins when we identify harmful habits.
Take an honest look at your lifestyle. Keep a food journal, track your sleep, or note how often you move. Pay attention to how certain foods or activities make you feel. Awareness is the first step toward change.

Once you recognize what isn’t working, begin making small adjustments. Drastic changes can be overwhelming. Instead, focus on simple, consistent improvements.
Water

Movement
Move your body daily. Exercise doesn’t have to mean hours in the gym. A 10-minute walk, stretching, or dancing can improve circulation and mood. The key is consistency. Healing through consistent change happens when movement becomes part of daily life.
Sleep
Prioritize sleep. Poor sleep affects immunity, mood, and metabolism. Create a bedtime routine. Avoid screens before bed, and sleep in a cool, dark room.
Stress
Reduce stress. Chronic stress weakens the body. Find ways to relax, whether through prayer, deep breathing, or time in nature. Managing stress helps the body heal.
Healing Through Consistent Change: Examples of Transformative Health Habits
Many people have transformed their health by making small changes. Their success comes from consistency, not perfection.
One woman struggled with joint pain and fatigue. She started drinking more water and cutting out processed foods. Within weeks, her energy improved, and her pain decreased. Healing through consistent change was the key to her success.
